Competitive Tumbling Team

In 1999 the first Competitive Tumbling Team was formed at Kristi’s Academy of Dance and PA with 6 members. Over the past 10 years, the team has been home to over 45 gymnasts and has been awarded multiple individual and team awards including 5 TOP TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS and TUMBLER of the YEAR honors!
WHY BE A MEMBER OF "THE TEAM"
All team members share a unique camaraderie — a special support and enthusiasm between teammates, with whom they spend many hours practicing and learning. Unlike recreational tumblers, team members compete against other gyms: the meets are many tumblers' favorite activities, as they love competition and showing off what they've learned.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TEAM AND CLASSES
Students in our recreational tumbling classes learn skills in a low-pressure non-competitive environment. Class students are not expected to do a skill that makes them uncomfortable. If, for example, a student is afraid to perform a skill, they would simply put off working on that skill and work on something different until they are ready to return to the skill. If a team member is afraid of a skill, they will be expected to work through their fear and master the skill, with the help of their coach, if they want to progress on team. Team members are also expected to work harder on their weak events. Team members and parents must make a much greater physical, emotional, and financial commitment to tumbling and acrobatics.
INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CTT MEMBER???
Team membership positions are available only upon invitation or try-out. Invitations to either try-out for or join teams are based upon evaluations by Miss Kristi. While a prospective team member's tumbling skills are important, emphasis is also placed on attitude, particularly a long-term demonstration of willingness to work hard and ability to get along with and support others.
Please email or call the Studio for information about joining out team!!!
